Conference Scholarships

The Society’s annual conference provides students and young lawyers with a unique opportunity to network and hear from leading legal practitioners, academics, and other eminent speakers.

The Society encourages students of all ages and all disciplines to attend our annual conference. To support the attendance of students and young lawyers at our conferences, the Society provides a variety of full and part scholarships.

2026 Conference Scholarships

Applications are now open for full and part scholarships to attend the 2026 conference in Sydney.

The scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis and in three rounds, with the final deadline being:

• Round 1 (full scholarships - interstate applicants): 5:00 pm (AEST) on Monday 27 April 2025

• Round 2 (full and part scholarships): 5:00 pm (AEST) on Monday 12 July 2026

• Round 3: (partial scholarships only): 5:00 pm (AEST) on Monday 10 August 2026

If you, or someone you know, would like support to attend this year’s conference, please submit a scholarship application to contact@samuelgriffith.org.au with the following information:

• the full name of the applicant,

• the applicant’s email address,

• the applicant’s telephone number,

• a brief statement (of 250 words or less) outlining the applicant’s reasons for wishing to attend this year’s conference and their interest in the Society,

• a copy of the applicant’s CV, and

• a photograph of the applicant’s student card (if applicable).
